This campaign will run on 702 and CapeTalk from 16 August 2021 until 23 September 2021.
To participate, businesses owners that are restarting, reshaping and rebuilding must fill in an entry form on 702.co.za or capetalk.co.za to be selected as one of the #HandsUpForSmall Business winners.
Submission deadline for your story is the 3 September 2021.
Between 30 August 2021 and 10 September 2021, selected winners will be profiled on air on 702 and CapeTalk
Business expert Matsi Modise and her team at Furaha Afrika Holdings (Pty) Ltd will select the 20 winners.
On 702, the winners will air on Breakfast between 06:00 and 09:00.
On CapeTalk, the winners will air on Breakfast between 06:00 and 09:00.
Profiling will also include 702 and CapeTalk sending teams to the location of each winner to take pictures and a video.
During this visit, the winner being profiled must ensure that they comply with safety regulations to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This includes all employees wearing masks and hand sanitisers being readily available and used frequently during the visit. Failure to comply may lead to the participant being disqualified. A webinar will be hosted by 702 and CapeTalk on Thursday, 23 September 2021, where insights and learnings will be unpacked by the judging representatives from Nedbank, Primedia Broadcasting and Furaha Afrika Holdings. The webinar will be open to all the companies that entered the competition.
Each winner will receive the grand prize package, consisting of the following:
A gap analysis package with Furaha Afrika Holdings (Pty) Ltd to the value of R15 000.
An on-air advertising package on either 702 or CapeTalk (or a combination of both) to the value of R100 000
A R30 000 cash injection into their business.
Social-media exposure worth R10 000.
A digital toolkit (pictures and video) worth R10 000, which they can use for their own marketing.
The prize is not negotiable or transferrable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The participant's business must be located in Gauteng, the Western Cape or KwaZulu-Natal.
702, CapeTalk, Nedbank and Furaha Afrika Holdings will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason, and will not be responsible for network connectivity, hardware or any other issues experienced while participating.
Businesses cannot participate or be selected as a winner if they have received a prize on any Primedia station in the past 90 days, whether on air, online or via any of the station’s social-media platforms.
The personal information that is collected from a participant (you) and processed by Primedia Proprietary Limited and Furaha Afrika Holdings is done solely with your consent and in line with the Primedia Privacy Notice,
